UFC legend Anderson Silva’s son scores 1st-round walk-off KO vs. MMA pundit

Gabriel Silva is following in his father’s footsteps and on Saturday scored a brutal knockout at MF & DAZN: X Series 009.

The 26-year-old son of UFC legend Anderson Silva had no problem crushing his opponent Ben Davies yesterday at Misfits Boxing, the Brazilian needing just under two minutes to secure the win.

Silva’s father is Anderson Silva, the UFC star who holds the record for the longest title reign in the history of the mixed martial arts promotion. The younger Silva, 26, has been playing combat sports for a few years and on Saturday faced Ben Davis in a boxing match.
However, it wasn’t a very long boxing match.

With 10 seconds left in the opening round, Silva delivered a left hand that knocked Davis down. The final blow came moments after Silva slammed his opponent, who had outmatched him, to the mat.

“I’m not going to lie, I thought Ben would be a little more prepared, but I knew when I looked him in the eyes that he wasn’t really there – he was there but he wasn’t really there,” Silva said. Immediately after the fight.

“He’s strong and he can punch, but I thought to myself, ‘You know what? Let me let this experience do the talking and play with it.’
