Inoue, the shorter man, wins the shorter man in the eighth round to take the bantamweight title

Naoya Inoue was in sensational form as he brutally knocked out Stephen Fulton in the eighth round to collect the WBO and WBC super-bantweight belts and become a four-weight world champion.

The Japanese fighter has now further established himself as one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world after another dominant display.

After a cagey opener, Inoue started to take control of the contest and push Fulton back up against the ropes.

Despite coming up in weight and being the smaller man, it was Inoue who appeared to be the stronger fighter.

Inoue looked to disguise his trademark overhand right behind varied lead hand selection and started to set up the shot with a firm jab to the body in the hopes of dropping the American’s hands.
