On behalf of the Sport Jiu-Jitsu International Federation – SJJIF, it is our honor and pleasure to announce the launch of the inaugural SJJIF Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Cup, and we invite your federation to participate in this historic event, marking a new chapter in international Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition.
This event provides elite athletes with the opportunity to represent their countries as part of officially recognized national federation teams, reinforcing the values of unity, structure, and international cooperation that define Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under SJJIF standards.
About the Competition
The SJJIF World Cup is a national team–based competition, designed to elevate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu globally and strengthen the role of national federations in athlete development.
Each team will consist of elite Black Belt athletes, officially selected or approved by their national federation under SJJIF.
Teams may include 4 or 8 competitors, depending on participation in Gi, No-Gi, or both.
Minimum team composition (4 athletes):

Male – under 76 kg

Male – over 76.1 kg

Female – under 68 kg
-
Female – over 68.1 kg
Federations may register 8 athletes to cover both Gi and No-Gi divisions, as well as reserve athletes according to official regulations.
