A National Closed Camp in El Jadida: Morocco’s Muay Thai Youth Rising Toward Glory

In the city of El Jadida, within the halls of Hotel Jawhara, the heartbeat of Morocco’s Muay Thai future is alive and powerful. Since Thursday, June 14, a selective training camp for 16- and 17-year-old athletes has been underway — a bold national effort to shape a new generation of champions, ready to carry Morocco’s flag with pride on the international stage.

Organized by the Royal Moroccan Federation of Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Savate, and Similar Sports, this camp goes far beyond traditional preparation. It reflects a clear strategic vision: to invest in young talent and strengthen Morocco’s radiant presence in the global Muay Thai arena.

Twenty-nine promising athletes — both male and female — were carefully chosen after excelling in the latest national competition. Under the guidance of national coaches Miloud Bahri and Idriss Benyahia, they now undergo rigorous daily sessions, split between morning and evening trainings, and punctuated with precise technical and physical evaluations to assess their competitive readiness.

This elite camp is a crucial milestone in the journey toward major international events, particularly the Youth Muay Thai World Championship, set to take place in September in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Through this initiative, the Federation reaffirms that the future of Moroccan sport lies in training, nurturing, and believing in its youth — carriers of pride, talent, and national dreams. Moroccan Muay Thai marches forward with confidence, driven by excellence and the unwavering will to write a new chapter of sporting glory.
