BETR and GLORY join forces to launch the groundbreaking GLORY Underground kickboxing series, supported by BETR, with the first event set for May 1, 2025.
Chico Kwasi, GLORY’s welterweight world champion, will make his debut in this series in a highly anticipated showdown against Tijani “The Wonderboy” Beztati, GLORY’s lightweight world champion, at Betr’s headquarters in Miami.
Miami, Florida – March 19, 2025 – GLORY, the world’s leading kickboxing organization and a major force in combat sports, announced today a collaboration with Betr Holdings Inc. (Betr), a leader in sports gaming and media, to launch GLORY Underground, an exclusive invite-only kickboxing event series set to revolutionize sports entertainment.
The inaugural event of this thrilling new series will take place on May 1, 2025, at Betr’s headquarters in Miami, Florida, and will be streamed live for free worldwide on YouTube. This bold partnership marks a major step for GLORY, leveraging Betr’s innovative approach to original content and fan engagement.
The event will host an elite audience of approximately 100 guests, including influencers, athletes, and celebrities. A second event is already planned for late summer 2025.
Headlining the first edition is a highly anticipated rematch between Chico Kwasi (44-5-1, 23 KOs) and Tijani Beztati (27-4-1, 9 KOs). Their last bout at GLORY 96 in October 2024 ended in a draw, leaving fans eager for a decisive outcome.
At 27 years old, Beztati became the youngest fighter ever to sign with GLORY at just 18 years old. Of Dutch-Moroccan descent, he captured the GLORY lightweight world title by defeating Elvis Gashi at GLORY 79 in 2021 and has successfully defended it five times. Now, he aims to become a two-division champion, joining legends like Alex Pereira and Robin van Roosmalen.
Kwasi, on the other hand, is a product of Amsterdam’s famous Mike’s Gym. After dominating the European circuit, he joined GLORY in 2023 and quickly claimed the welterweight world title by defeating Endy Semeleer at GLORY 91 in Paris. Since then, he has defended it twice, including against Beztati, and recently scored a decision victory over Teodor Hristov in February.
The event will receive major promotion from Derrick “Betr Derek” Sullivan and Joey “Betr Jojo” Muriello, creators of Betr’s media channel, who will document their journey to Amsterdam, training with top fighters to immerse themselves in the sport.
Marshall Zelaznik, CEO of GLORY, stated:
“GLORY is redefining combat sports by giving fans exactly what they want. Through our partnership with Betr and its content creators, we are bringing the most thrilling fights directly to the audience.”
