Mike Tyson has revealed who he thinks will win the fight between boxing’s two heavyweights: Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, in February.
The heavyweight title unification fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk was made official last week and will take place on February 17, with the two men having already had a tense face-off last Friday.
Recently, Mike Tyson congratulated himself on the success of Francis Ngannou against Tyson Fury and yet, if some think that Tyson Fury is on his way out after his performance against the ‘Predator’, Mike Tyson does not share this opinion . Indeed, the man who trained Francis Ngannou for his first boxing fight believes the ‘Gypsy King’ should not be blamed for his fight that night (via Fight Hub TV):
“You shouldn’t look at Tyson Fury by the most recent performance against Ngannou, but you should understand that he is still the champion. He made this evening a great evening. He gave Francis an opportunity and it was just a bad night for him. We all have bad nights, and look, this was his bad night.”
In the process, Mike Tyson gave his prediction for the future fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk:
“I’m looking forward to this fight. It will be an interesting fight. I’m leaning towards Tyson Fury because I think he’s going to dominate. He will catch him and dominate him. I’m leaning towards Fury. I think he’s the best fighter in the world, especially in the heavyweight division. Great fighters lose, great fighters look bad sometimes, but that doesn’t stop them from being great fighters. “
There are no doubts on Mike Tyson’s side, it is Tyson Fury who will win on February 17. While some, like his brother, had talked about retirement for Fury, this is still not the case for one of the greatest boxing champions of all time.
