Zhang Lipeng vs Lucas Gabriel at ONE Fight Night 31
Chinese veteran Zhang Lipeng and rising Brazilian star Lucas Gabriel are set to face each other in an intriguing matchup at ONE Fight Night 31: Kongthoranee vs Nong-O II.
Zhang and Gabriel will meet in a lightweight MMA contest inside Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium in the morning hours of May 3.
The 35-year-old Chinese veteran, who owns a 4-2 promotional record, most recently defeated Hiroyuki Tetsuka in a first-round TKO.
While Zhang will be looking to capture a second straight stoppage win to boost his chances at fighting for the divisional world title, his Brazilian counterpart aims to pick up an impressive victory as he makes his debut in ONE Championship’s monthly fight series.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has three wins from three bouts at ONE Friday Fights, most recently defeating Gadzhimurad Amirzhanov via submission.
