Zakaria El Jamari Loses to Johan Estupinan at ONE Fight Night 25

Zakaria El Jamari suffered another defeat at ONE Championship at the hands of undefeated Colombian fighter Johan Estupinan.

In a fast-paced flyweight Muay Thai contest as part of ONE Fight Night 25, Estupinan got the better of his Moroccan counterpart, knocking him out at 1:07 in the second round.

Estupinan started the action with two punches, but El Jamari caught his leg and dropped him to the canvas. The Moroccancontinued his attacks, landing a big right hand that wobbled the Colombian.

However, Estupinan quickly regained control and went on the offensive with relentless punches and kicks. As the two men traded kicks, El Jamari seemed to slow down while Estupinan hit a knee to the head then backed the Moroccan into the corner. El Jamari responded with a punch, driving the Colombian back. The round ended with the two men trading quick strikes.

In the second round, Estupinan hit three quick left high kicks and landed punches as he searched for a quick knockout. The Colombian tried to hit flying knees, but El Jamari caught him in midair and countered the offensive before Estupinan unloaded with high and push kicks.

With the two men back to the center of the ring, Estupinan hit a powerful uppercut followed by a left hand to the chin, dropping El Jamari who failed to respond to the referee’s count.

With this loss, the 35-year-old Moroccan suffers his second straight knockout loss with his ONE record now stands at 1-3.Meanwhile, the 22-year-old Colombian raised his impressive clean professional record to 26-0.
