Algeria’s rising Muay Thai star Nabil Anane produced a memorable performance at ONE Championship’s event, ONE Friday Fights 69, dropping a formidable Thai opponent via knockout.
Anane put in another solid performance at ONE’s weekly fight series, enduring some heavy punches from Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai in the first round.
The momentum inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium shifted from the midpoint of the second round as Anane went on the attack, using his height and reach advantage.
The 20-year-old Algerian continued to show his striking superiority in the second round, using his elbows efficiently and high knees. Anane dropped his Thai opponent to the canvas with a strong knee strike, but Kulabdam survived, going back to his feet.
Another strong knee shot to the head dropped Kulabdam again – this time ending the Bantamweight Muay Thai contest at 2:54 of the second round.
With this win, the former two-division WBC Muay Thai champion raises his overall professional record to 36-5.
Also, the Algerian’s impressive three-win-streak earned him a six-figure-contract by ONE CEO and chairman Chatri Sityodtong.
