In the main event of UFC Vegas 78, Brazilians Vicente Luque and Rafael dos Anjos faced off at welterweight.
The 13-fight card saw an incredible nine fights end in stoppages, including all the preliminary card bouts, and four go the distance for the decision on the main card. Among the 9 stoppage wins, 6 were knockouts or technical knockouts, while three were submission wins.
Round 1: From the start, the two athletes enter a long phase of clinch against the cage. In the process, dos Anjos takes the center of the octagon and tries to land his striking. Quickly, Luque changes level but is countered by an opposing guillotine attempt. He gets out of the trap set by Rafael dos Anjos.

Round 2: RDA attempts to level up and grapple attack. For his part, Vicente Luque defends well and does everything to stay upright. In turn, ‘The Silent Assassin’ dominates the hand-to-hand combat, and poses real problems for dos Anjos.
Round 3: Luque makes his boxing speak and RDA replies with middle kicks. The latter enters into a struggle and tries to block ‘The Silent Assassin’ against the cage, but is countered. Vicente Luque totally cancels the opposing attempts, and is irreproachable in the grappling phases.
