Former ONE two-division world champion Aung La N Sang will face undefeated Turkish star in a middleweight MMA contest at ONE 168: Denver in the morning hours on September 7.
The iconic veteran, who boasts 15 wins across his ONE career, will enter the fight riding a three-win-streak, finishing Yushin Okami, Brazil’s Gilberto Galvao, and Fan Rong.
Having spent most of his career training in the United States, the 39-year-old, who is a sporting icon in Myanmar, will likely enjoy a hometown hero’s welcome in Denver.
Aung La N Sang faces a difficult test in Shamil Erdogan, a world-class grappler who employs his elite takedown game and technical striking to overwhelm opponents. The 33-year-old is a Turkish Olympic Freestyle Wrestling team member and possesses a clean 9-0 MMA career.
Erdogan made a winning debut last June at ONE Friday Fights 22 where he claimed his fourth straight finish with a TKO victory against Fan Rong.
ONE 168: Denver kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca on September 7.
