Some UFC fighters have played the prediction game for this weekend’s fight between Amanda Nunes and Irene Aldana.
This Saturday’s UFC 289 main event will be a bantamweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Irene Aldana (the card, times and how to watch it by clicking here).
Initially, Nunes was supposed to face Julianna Peña, but she got injured and the fight had to be changed. Among bookmakers, Amanda Nunes is the big favorite, but what about UFC fighters? The Bjpenn.com site asked some of them for their predictions and here is what it looks like:
Beneil Dariush: “It’s hard not to choose Amanda Nunes, especially when Aldana shows up at short notice. »
Dan Ige: “It will be a great fight, but I think Nunes will keep his belt. »
Daniel Pineda: “I’m leaning towards Nunes, but Aldana has that knockout power. »
John Castaneda: “I think Nunes is really trying to prove something after her loss to Pena and she’s motivated again, so I think she will win.”
Chris Daukaus: “I choose Aldana as an underdog because she has the punch and power to compete with Nunes. »
Bryan Battle: “This fight is more interesting than the one between Nunes and Pena. I think Aldana will stay up and get the win. »
Jasmine Jasudavicius: “I choose Nunes. »
Kyle Nelson: “I’m thinking of Amanda Nunes. She’s tough to beat, I think she’ll go the distance because Aldana is tough, but I think Nunes outshines her. »
Modestas Bukauskas: “It’s hard not to support Nunes and I think she will do it again and defend her belt. »
Miles Johns: “I am for Nunes, I think she will fight Aldana like Holm did. »
So it’s clear, crisp and precise, 8 to 2 in favor of Amanda Nunes. The defending champion is the big favorite of this fight. From now on, it will be up to the outsider Irene Aldana to make them lie!
