UFC – Curtis Blaydes vs Jailton Almeida in preparation for November 4 in São Paulo

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Sao Paulo, Brazil this fall for UFC Fight Night 230, going down live from the Ibirapuera Gymnasium on November 4, 2023.

Curtis Blaydes vs Jailton Almeida adds to the mass of UFC heavyweight fights to come.

A clash between Curtis Blaydes and Jailton Almeida for UFC heavyweight is reportedly in the works for Nov. 4. The news was first reported by MMA Junkie. Blaydes vs Almeida is the headliner of the UFC’s long-awaited return to São Paulo, Brazil after four years. The two fighters will face off with a lot at stake if the matchup is finalized.

Head to the top 5 for Jailton Almeida

Blaydes will return in an effort to recover from his recent loss to Sergei Pavlovich earlier in the year. Prior to his loss to Pavlovich, he had won three straight fights, including victories over Chris Daukaus and Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Indeed, Curtis Blaydes wants to stop the rise of Jailton Almeida. He will face a tough test in the person of Almeida. He has won 14 fights in total and is undefeated since joining the UFC.

Jailton Almeida earned his place in the UFC with a Contender Series victory in 2021. He has since passed all five of his UFC Tests. Last month, Almeida defeated Rozenstruik via first-round submission at UFC Charlotte. He also beat Anton Turkalj and Shamil Abdurakhimov. The winner of Blaydes vs. Almeida will delve into the UFC heavyweight title chart.

Jan Błachowicz vs Jacaré Souza headlined the last UFC event in São Paulo in November 2018.

What is your prediction for this heavyweight fight?
