MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn clarified. According to him, this publication was only a mistake: “A UFC official told me that it was a mistake. Currently, Blachowicz vs. Pereira remains a three-round non-title fight on the line.”
Should the two men face off for the light-heavyweight throne, two belts would be on the line at UFC 291. Indeed, during the main event of the evening, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje, respectively ranked n°2 and 3 in the light weights, will compete for the belt of the “Baddest Motherf*cker”. A title formerly held by Jorge Masvidal.
