UFC No. 4 lightweight Beneil Dariush has given his thoughts on the main event of UFC 291, which is the rematch between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.
Beneil Dariush will face the man who beat Poirier and Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, in the co-main event of the upcoming pay-per-view, UFC 289. During an interview with Michael Bisping and Anthony Smith as part of the The YouTube show of the former middleweight champion, the Iranian-American fighter spoke about the dangers of punching Justin Gaethje.
Beneil Dariush has a preference
“This Justin [who fought Rafael Fiziev] will be a problem for anyone. Especially since a punch from him hurts. The guy can throw a jab and he can hurt you, you know? In the last round against Fiziev, he threw several jabs and he demolished Fiziev. It’s incredible. »
Dariush praised Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier, but picked Gaethje to win the fight:
“I think Justin can do it, I think he’s hungrier. I think he has improved in terms of defense and footwork. »
Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier will square off for the vacant BMF title, with former holder Jorge Masvidal retiring from the sport after UFC 287. Rematch between ‘The Diamond’ and ‘The Highlight’ will headline from an incredibly busy UFC 291 card in August.
Do you agree with Dariush? What’s your prognostic ?
