UAE’s BJJ star Zayed Alkatheeri will face Kuwait’s Jarrah Al Hazza at ONE Championship event ONE 171: Qatar.
IBJJF world champion Alkatheeri enters his first ONE bout with a stunning resume. In 2022, he became the first Emirati to win gold as BJJ black belt at Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Pro (ADWPJJC) after having dominated the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro Tour Circuit (AJP) as a brown belt, winning all of its titles.
On the other hand, Al Hazza is an Asian Games medalist and an established BJJ competitor with plenty of wins to his name against top regional opposition.
Alkatheeri and Al Hazza will face each other in a flyweight submission grappling bout at ONE 171: Qatar which kicks off at 5:00 PM AST on Thursday, February 20.
