Frank Warren believes Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou 2 will happen in 2024.
Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou 2 in 2024? It’s very possible according to ‘Gypsy King’ promoter Frank Warren.
While it has been almost a month since Francis Ngannou made his debut in professional boxing, and he did quite well despite his defeat against Tyson Fury, a rematch could take place in 2024.
However, we already learned last week that the ‘Gypsy King’ was going to face Oleksandr Usyk for the unification of the titles, on February 17, and that for his part, Francis Ngannou could fight Deontay Wilder in MMA at the PFL. And despite this news, the rematch between the two fighters is becoming more and more clear.
Indeed, Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter, thinks that it will take place in 2024, even if it is not at the start of the year. Here is what he said on The MMA Hour:
“I think there’s a good chance it’ll happen in 2024, really. I don’t know yet if the two men will meet again for another fight, it’s too far away. But let’s get this straight and see which way to go.”
“Tyson told me he wanted the rematch, and I know Ngannou wants it too… He’s a good guy, by the way. He’s a very nice guy, he has a good team around him, and I’m sure we’ll have another fight.”
Francis Ngannou, who made his official entry into the WBC rankings, actually suggested that he wanted this rematch while also saying that he would fight in MMA next year. At this rate, the ‘Predator’ schedule will quickly be filled…
