Turkey’s Alibeg Rasulov and South Korea’s Ok Rae Yoon have both promised to knockout the other in the main event of ONE Championship’s upcoming show ONE Fight Night 23: Ok vs Rasulov.
Rasulov and Ok Rae Yoon will battle it out for the Interim Lightweight MMA world championship at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in the morning hours of Saturday July 6.
The stakes are high in this pivotal clash as the winner between the two men will face returning divisional champion Christian Lee in a world title unification bout later this year – and both contenders have delivered stark warnings to the other.
Rasulov, 31, aims to improve his impressive undefeated 14-0 record with a statement win against the South Korean – and has promised to knockout the former divisional champion early in the contest.
“I intend to finish him early and win by submission or TKO/KO,” Rasulov said.
On the other hand, the South Korean also seems certain that the bout will end with a finish but insists he will be the one leaving his opponent laying on his back on the canvas at Lumpinee.
“ONE allows for knees on the ground. So, if he comes in for the takedown, I’ll make sure he pays for it with my knees. Then I’ll hit him with my shots and get the KO,” Ok Rae Yoon said.
ONE Fight Night 23: Ok vs Rasulov kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca on Saturday, July 6. Fans in the MENA region can watch the show on beIN SPORTS and watch.onefc.com.
