Some of the biggest striking stars face each other in must-see clashes at ONE Championship’s show ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut on Friday, September 27.
The highly anticipated event includes 12 Muay Thai and Kickboxing contests and is headlined by the featherweight Muay Thai clash between first-ranked contender Superbon and second-ranked Jo Nattawut.
Here are three must-see fights at ONE Friday Fights 81 which kicks off at 3:30 PM Mecca on Friday, 27 September.
1. Nong-O Hama vs Kiamran Nabati
In a clash between a surging star and a veteran, Russian star Kiamran Nabati puts his undefeated record on the line against Muay Thai legend Nong-O Hama in a bantamweight Muay Thai clash.
Nong-O, who most recently beat compatriot Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai in April, ruled the division for years before losing two fights in a row, dropping his gold to Jonathan Haggerty.
On the other hand, Nabati owns a perfect 21-0 overall recordwith the latest of his three victories at ONE Championship coming via an impressive first-round knockout against SuablackTor Pran.
2. Akram Hamidi vs Sam-A Gaiyanghadao
At 25, Algerian fighter Akram Hamidi owns an impressive 50-5 overall record, with a 2-1 record in ONE Championship. Since his debut in June 2023, Hamidi has shown his diverse skills, scoring two wins via TKO while his only loss came against two-sport champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai.
In his next fight, Hamidi faces a big test against Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, who is a veteran fighter of more than 400 fights. The 40-year-old former two-time ONE Strawweight Muay Thaiworld champion, who also held the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing and Flyweight Muay Thai world titles, is looking past his loss against Prajanchai to build momentum towards another world title shot.
3. Ilias Ennahachi vs Hiroki Akimoto
Moroccan Kickboxing star hopes to score a big win when he returns to ONE Championship as he faces the second-ranked fighter in the bantamweight kickboxing division Hiroki Akimoto.
Ennahachi owns a clean 4-0 record in ONE Championship, including a win against Thai megastar and two-sport champion Superlek Kiatmoo, and held the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing world champion until he moved to bantamweight, picking up a win against Aliasghar Ghodratisaraskan via knockout.
Meanwhile, Akimoto wants to arrest his slump in form after losing his last two fights. Before those losses, the 32-year-old Japanese star had won five consecutive fights, establishing himself as one of the best bantamweight kickboxing stars in the world.
