Japanese kickboxing star Takeru Segawa clinched his first win at ONE Championship against Myanmar’s Thant Zin at ONE Friday Fights 81
Takeru survived an early scare after the Myanmar athlete knocked him down with a powerful left hook in the very first round.
Thant Zin attacked the seven-time, three-division K-1 champion with heavy punches since the start, showcasing his top boxing skills to drop the Japanese fighter.
However, Takeru made a comeback using his sharp boxing and dropped Thant Zin with a front kick to the body. When the 19-year-old regained his feet, Takeru finished the bout with punches and knees to earn the finish at 2:47.
With this win, Takeru raises his overall professional record to 44-4.
