Thai stars Superbon and Jo Nattawut are set to headline ONE Championship’s event ONE Friday Fights 81.
Superbon and Nattawut will face each other inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium in a Featherweight Muay Thai clash on Friday September 27.
Superbon aims to earn another shot at Tawanchai PK Saenchai’s world title with a win against Nattawut after the 34-year-old lost to the title holder via majority decision last December.
Before losing to Tawanchai, Superbon had beaten Marat Griogrian via unanimous decision and Tayfun Ozcan via knockout under kickboxing rules.
On the other hand, Nattawut hopes to solidify his place as the top contender to the featherweight world title ahead of his anticipated third bout against Tawanchai at ONE 169: Atlanta in November.
35-year-old Nattawut had narrowly lost to Tawanchai twice, but secured a victory against Luke Lessei between the two world title fights.
ONE Friday Fights 81 kicks off at 3:30 PM Mecca on Friday September 27 and will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS in the MENA region.
