The two Russian fighters participating in ONE Championship’s event, ONE Friday Fights 68, ended up with starkly different results.
Kiamran Nabati scored a quick first-round knockout win only 1:54 after the bout kicked off, sending his Thai counterpart Suablack crashing to the canvas.
The talented 29-year-old Russian advanced forward from the opening bell, pinned his rival against the ropes, and threw a strong left punch that landed on the Thai’s jaw, ending the contest quickly.
With this win, Nabati, who was not a contracted full-timer with ONE before this fight, improved his unbeaten overall professional record to 21-0, ended Suablack’s perfect six-win-streak in ONE, and earned a huge contract from ONE CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong.
On the other hand, Alaverdi Ramazanov endured a disappointing defeat via TKO at 1:59 of round two in the Muay Thai clash against Thailand’s Petchtanong Petchfergus.
In a battle between two former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing world champions, the 38-year-old Thai dominated Ramazanov and pressured him with heavy strikes.
With his win, Petchtanong improved his remarkable overall record to 359-56 and re-established himself as a dangerous contender for the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai world title.
