Rodtang: Superlek vs Haggerty is a “Must-See Fight”, Compares Champs’ Strengths

ONE Flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon described the upcoming showdown between Superlek Kiatmoo and Jonathan Haggerty as a “must-see fight”.

Haggerty defends his ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai world title against Superlek in the main event of ONE 168: Denver which kicks off at 3AM Mecca on Saturday, September 7.

The 27-year-old Thai star owns a pair of victories over Haggerty when the two battled at flyweight for the Muay Thai world title in 2019 and 2020 while he suffered a unanimous decision loss against Superlek in 2023.

Having competed against both stars, Rodtang spoke about the strengths of both his compatriot and the British champion.

“Haggerty’s strength is he has been fighting in this division for a long time. He can punch very hard and violently. Superlek’s strengths are his powerful kicks and exceptional defensive abilities. I’ve never seen anyone that can knock Superlek out before”.

Since his defeat against Rodtang, Haggerty has won six straight fights and become a two-sport champion at bantamweight in Muay Thai and Kickboxing while Superlek is on an incredible 10-win-streak.

“The Iron Man” is visibly excited to see the two world champions collide on American soil.

“I’m confident that we’re going to see an exciting fight, full of thrills every second. I’m looking forward to watching this fight. Both are number one in Muay Thai and kickboxing. No matter who they fight, that fight is a must-see”.
