Jonathan Haggerty defends his ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai world championship against Superlek Kiatmoo at ONE Championship’s second event on American soil.
“The Iron Man” is excited to see the world-class strikers clash and believes the highly anticipated contest will end with a knockout.
“It has a high chance to end with a KO. It’s hard for me to predict, but In the first round, the two will get to know each other. In the second round, they will start trading weapons. If both of them are careful, it should end in the third or fourth round.”
Muay Thai and Kickboxing champion Haggerty, who is on a six-win-streak, secured all three wins at bantamweight via knockout while Superlek has won his last 10 fights, finishing four opponents.
Despite believing that the fight will be close, Rodtang, who faced both Superlek and Haggerty, expects the Brit’s experience in the weight division to help him secure what would be a memorable win in Denver.
“This match is close. Both are elite fighters and their skills are on par. It’ll depend on who makes mistakes first. Jonathan Haggerty has the edge. In terms of weight, he has been fighting in this division for a long time. Anyway, I’ll root for [Superlek].”
