Regian Eersel Defeats Alexis Nicolas at ONE Fight Night 30
Former ONE Lightweight Kickboxing world champion Regian Eersel made it 2-1 against former divisional champion Alexis Nicolas at ONE Fight Night 30.
Despite the 32-year-old Surinamese star’s win, he had been stripped of the kickboxing world title after missing weight.
Eersel was cautious in the first round as he gathered information about his rival’s game plan before landing heavy strikes against the French fighter in the second round, sending him to the canvas.
Eersel kept the momentum going in the third, fourth, and fifth round, increasing the pressure and using jabs and jumping knee attacks.
In the end, two of the three judges awarded the win to Eersel, who improved his overall professional record to 63-5.
