Interviewed by La Sueur, the rapper MC Jean Gab’1 took the opportunity to warn the young Baki in relation to Cédric Doumbé.
At 56 years old, with a successful career as a rapper behind him, MC Jean Gab’1 is now fully devoted to his other passion: streetworkout. In addition to being a practitioner, the rapper is also an avid follower of combat sports, particularly MMA. The rumors of a fight between the young prospect Baysangur Chamsoudinov alias ‘Baki’ and Cédric Doumbé obviously did not escape him. Interviewed by the media La Sueur, MC Jean Gab’1 was surprised by the confidence shown by Baki at the idea of facing Cédric Doumbé. Unlike Jordan Zebo, he warns Baki:
“I like Baki, but people are in for a surprise. I look at Doumbé and I say to myself: ‘Hm, you’re really good’. When you watch him in Thai boxing, at Glory, you look at his arrival in MMA… Everyone will try to take him down, but the guys forget one thing: he’s already been rolling on the ground for 6 years. He has experience now. I love Baki, but you’re going to have a surprise in the cage, I tell you. Baki, you’re super sure of yourself, but you’re forgetting something: in my domain upstairs, you won’t touch me. But I worked in your area on the ground, and 6 years is not nothing. The only sport where we are really respected in the world is Doumbé au Glory. I went to Holland, they don’t know a French person apart from Doumbé. We have a champion. He has a big mouth, but as long as he wins let’s support him.”
MC Jean Gab’1 also advises Cyril Gane….For the MC, there is no photo between Cédric Doumbé and Baki, he finds that people neglect Cédric Doumbé’s ground game. Moreover, the former Glory champion was recently reframed by a boxing champion. The rapper also gave his advice to Cyril Gane who he finds too respectful towards his opponents:
“He’s not bad (speaking of Gane)! Don’t respect your opponent, that’s not what we’re here for, we’re not into judo. There comes a time when you have to be mean. You look at all the guys in boxing, guys are bad at one time or another. Every time, I hear this thing: ‘I respect my opponent’. But are you completely crazy?! I’m here to beat the shit out of you and you vice versa. If you don’t include that in your brain, then expect defeat, and it’s the same with Gane. »
“Exit from France (…) I give him two pieces of advice: does he like the sun? Brazil. Doesn’t he like the sun? Dagestan. There you go Cyril, you know what remains to do. Fernand Lopez Same. Take him, don’t give him food, take the Nintendo away from him and as soon as we open the gate, he’ll snap at everyone! »
The message should reach the ears of Baki, Cyril Gane and Fernand Lopez. Not sure that they apply MC Jean Gab’1’s advice though…
