ONE Two-Division MMA Champion Christian Lee Open to Rematch with Alibeg Rasulov

ONE Championship’s two-division MMA world champion Christian Lee is open to defending both his lightweight and welterweight belts after making his return to competition.

Lee returned after two years away from fighting to defend his ONE Lightweight MMA world title against Alibeg Rasulov in the main event of ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs Rasulov.

The Singaporean-American retained his belt, but only because the fight ended in a no contest due to an accidental eye poke that left the Turkish challenger unable to continue.

“The Warrior”, who owns the biggest number of wins and finishes in ONE Championship, says he would gladly face the 32-year-old undefeated Turkish star to erase any doubts about his status atop of the lightweight division.

“I would definitely be open to a rematch against Rasulov. For me, I’m not happy going away from a fight without getting a clear, decisive win – getting a finish,” Lee said.

“So, I’m sure that we’ll face each other again in the future. I’m not sure what the immediate plans are going to be. But yeah, if they offer me that match again, I’m going to take it so I can finish it,” he added.

The 26-year-old two-division MMA champion is also eager to defend the ONE Welterweight MMA world title belt.

“Other than Rasulov, there are a lot of other great fighters out here in ONE Championship. So we’ll see what ONE Championship’s plans are for me, but I’ll be ready to defend the lightweight or welterweight belts in the future,” Lee said.
