Thongpoon PK Saenchai and Rui Botelho are set to clash in a Strawweight Muay Thai contest at ONE Championship event ONE Fight Night 25.
The fight, which will take place in Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium in the morning hours of Saturday, October 5, sees two men clash while in a different run of form.
Thongpoon suffered his first loss in five ONE Championship bouts at the hands of Morocco’s Zakaria El Jamari.
The 27-year-old Thai star, who had finished three of his four opponents at the martial arts organization, would be keen to bounce back quickly at the Portuguese’s expense.
Meanwhile, Botelho put in the performance of a lifetime against former ONE Strawweight Kickboxing world title challenger Zhang Peimian, beating the Chinese fighter via split decision in November 2023.
Before scoring that memorable win, Botelho had suffered six losses in seven bouts at ONE Championship, but he’s certainly looking to prove that his most recent win was no fluke.
ONE Fight Night 25 kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca on Saturday, October 5 and will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS and ONE Championship’s website via watch.onefc.com.
