In a sizzling main event at UFC Paris, French fighter Nasrudin Imavov demonstrated why he is a top contender in the middleweight division, defeating Brazilian Caio Borralho by unanimous decision (50-45, 49-46, 49-46) at Accor Arena, setting his sights on a future clash with Khamzat Chimaev.

The fight was a masterclass in technique and strategy. The first round featured measured exchanges, with Imavov controlling the center of the Octagon using his lead arm, finishing with sharp punches. In rounds two and three, both fighters showcased their striking abilities; Borralho attempted counterattacks, but Imavov maintained control with balanced combinations and precise counter punches that visibly shook his opponent.

Rounds four and five escalated in intensity. Borralho employed half strikes and elbows, yet Imavov’s tactical superiority prevailed, culminating in powerful rear strikes and elbows, sealing the victory decisively before the final two minutes.

After the fight, Imavov said: “I also injured my knee tendons, but it won’t stop me… I’m next in line for the belt. I defeated him brilliantly.” He also showed respect to his opponent: “Congratulations to Caio Borralho for his fighting spirit.”
