In the main event of UFC Vegas 85, Nassourdine Imavov faced Roman Dolidze to try to get closer to the top 5 of the middleweight division. The Frenchman won.

After a difficult 2023, ‘Sniper’ Imavov was back in the main event of UFC Vegas 85 against the very dangerous Roman Dolidze, ranked 8th in the under 84 kg category. For the second time in his career, the Frenchman headlined a UFC event.
Round 1: Early on, Imavov throws a few front kicks. The Georgian tries directly to enter into a fight but the ‘Sniper’ defends well against the cage. Nassourdine Imavov throws a right which hits Dolidze. The Frenchman accelerates and puts the Georgian down in a lightning sequence. On the ground, Imavov continues with ground & pound. He takes down his opponent and almost finishes him off with an arm lock at the end of the round. What a round from the Franco-Dagestani!

Round 2: Imavov explodes from the start with a left that hits. Diminished, Dolidze throws punches into space. Clinching against the fence, the Georgian tries to pass the time to recover. At the end of the round, the ‘Sniper’ hits his opponent again.
Round 3: With his jabs and front kicks, Imavov scores points and continues to do damage to Dolidze. Coming out of the clinch, the Frenchman appears dangerous by hitting perfectly. The ‘Sniper’ hooks hit. With a big right, Nassourdine Imavov once again shakes the 8th in the middleweight category.
Round 4: On the counter, Imavov hits Dolidze again. The latter enters the clinch again and pins the Frenchman against the cage. In a contentious sequence, where Dolidze kept a few fingers on the ground for support. Imavov throws a kick in the face of the Georgian and the referee stops the fight. The Frenchman takes a penalty point and hostilities restart. In the process, Roman Dolidze attacks a knee lock on the ground but the ‘Sniper’ defends well. Standing, Imavov stays one step ahead.
