Morocco’s kickboxing star Ilias Ennahachi is set to face a difficult test in his first fight after rejoining martial arts organization ONE Championship.
The Moroccan will compete in a Bantamweight Kickboxing bout against the division’s second-ranked athlete Hiroki Akimoto at the anticipated event, ONE Friday Fight 81, on Friday, September 27.
The former ONE Flyweight Kickboxing world champion moved up to Bantamweight in his most recent outing in the organization in February last year, picking up a second-round knockout victory against Iran’s Aliasghar Ghodratisaraskan.
Ennahachi, who owns a clean 4-0 promotional record and is the only athlete to beat Thai megastar Superlek Kiatmoo in ONE, hopes to make a winning comeback against a formidable opponent inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.
ONE Friday Fights 81 airs live at 3:30pm Mecca on Friday, 27 September.
