Watch as Fernando Padilla makes it look easy in a featherweight bout with Luis Pajuelo at UFC Fight Night, going from the ground to a standing D’Arce choke for a quick first-round tap out.
Luis Pajuelo made his octagon debut on Saturday at UFC Vegas 89, where the featherweight found himself in a tough match-up with the formidable Fernando Padilla.
Peru’s Pajuelo had won his way into the promotion via Dana White’s Contender Series last year, and was riding a five-fight win streak to start the night.
At the opening of the main card, the Mexican Fernando Padilla faced Luis Pajuelo in featherweight. In this fight, ‘The Brave’ quickly took charge.
After a wrestling sequence, Padilla grabbed Pajuelo around the head against the cage. The Mexican quickly locks in a brabo choke and his Peruvian opponent is trapped. The latter has no choice but to strike. Thus, Padilla wins by submission in the 1st round.

With this victory, Fernando Padilla improves his record to 16-5. In 3 fights in the UFC, he won twice.
This submission is comparable to Jon Jones’ submission over Lyoto Machida in 2011 at UFC 140. ‘Bones’ had locked a standing guillotine in a similar position, leaving the Brazilian’s body completely unconscious
