Kade Ruotolo Dominates International Submission Grappling Tournament in Las Vegas

ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo dominated four opponents to win the Craig Jones Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States.

Ruotolo bagged a million-dollar prize after securing a decision win against Levi Jones-Leary in the final of the under-80kg bracket. The 21-year-old American star had earned his spot in the final after decision wins against Andrew Tackett and fellow ONE athlete and former world title challenger Tommy Langaker, and a victory via submission against decorated wrestler Jason Nolf.

The tournament, which took place on August 16 and 17, showcased once again Ruotolo’s world-class grappling skills as he claimed the 1-million-dollar prize.

Ruotolo defends his world title against compatriot and ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci at ONE 168: Denver in Colorado in the morning hours of September 8.

Both Ruotolo and Musumeci are undefeated in ONE to date and their upcoming bout pits two of the very best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu stars against one another.

ONE 168: Denver kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca on Saturday September 8 and will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS in the MENA region.
