Jon Jones, ready to box Tyson Fury, asks UFC to set up the fight

JON JONES is open to a dust-up with Tyson Fury – and he’s even willing to enter the boxing world to get his hands on The Gypsy King.

Jon Jones asked the UFC to prepare a fight against Tyson Fury, but not necessarily in MMA. Boxing suits him too.

Jon Jones vs Tyson Fury is a potential fight we hear a lot about right now. Dana White, the president of the UFC, is not against setting up the project and has even opened negotiations, but for him, it must happen in the Octagon.

To which Tyson Fury replied, confirming that for his part, it should take place in boxing. Jon Jones, he reaffirmed his desire to fight against Fury and even if it had to happen in a boxing ring (via mmafighting):

“I would love if Dana could make this fight happen. The UFC always gives fans what they want to see. Tyson Fury is a magnificent opponent, and it would be great to make this fight. I am ready to do it, and I would even be ready to box him. Let’s see what will happen. »

While Daniel Cormier recently explained that Fury would be destroyed in MMA by Jones, the latter had already considered hybrid rules between MMA and boxing, when he wanted to fight Francis Ngannou. Since Ngannou signed with the PFL, we no longer hear about this story.

As of now, neither Tyson Fury nor Jon Jones have an official fight scheduled as negotiations have failed for Fury against Oleksandr Usyk, and Jon Jones is tied for a fight with Stipe Miocic, but there too, nothing has been announced.
