Francis Ngannou once again lit up the combat arena with an impressive knockout victory over Renan Ferreira at the Professional Fighters League (PFL). After more than two and a half years out of the MMA cage, “The Predator” regained his power with a devastating first-round punch that ended the fight while Ferreira was in a dominant ground position.
The Cameroonian giant, former UFC heavyweight champion, added another belt to his collection with the PFL, improving his MMA record to 18-3, having not lost since 2018.
Ngannou’s victory this Saturday drew plenty of reactions, including from Jon Jones, the current UFC heavyweight champion. “Bones” didn’t miss the opportunity to congratulate Ngannou on his stellar performance.
Jon Jones: “What an incredible performance!”
In a tweet on his X account, Jon Jones expressed his admiration for Ngannou’s performance. He wrote: “What an incredible performance by Francis tonight.
What an amazing job Francis did tonight, displayed a complete MMA game. Great kicks, great takedowns. It feels good to see him shine. Wow congratulations Champ, I see you.

After this big win, Ngannou publicly expressed his desire to face Jon Jones. In his post-fight remarks, the Cameroonian confirmed that a fight with Jones is one he’s always wanted. He said: “A fight against Jon Jones? That’s the fight I’ve always asked for! If I had to choose my final fight, it would definitely be against him.”
As fans eagerly await a potential showdown between the two, Jon Jones is preparing to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, where he will attempt to defend his heavyweight title in what could be the final fight of his career.
