Israel Adesanya, current UFC middleweight champion, will face Alex Pereira again, on one condition.
Israel Adesanya defeated Alex Pereira by knockout in their second MMA clash at UFC 287. He reclaimed his place on the middleweight throne after falling to his nemesis at UFC 281, five months previously.
For his next fight, Alex Pereira will make his light heavyweight debut against former division champion Jan Blachowicz. The fight between the two men will take place at UFC 291 (see event card). Israel Adesanya, who competed at light-heavyweight once during his UFC career, would be interested in a new fight with ‘Poatan’… on one condition.
Adesanya vs. Pereira 3 in MMA?
“If he wins the -91kg belt, I will do it again,” Adesanya said on “The MMA Hour.” “But otherwise, I think he’s done with it, and I’m done with it. Everyone wants to see it, but we’re done with it, c’est la vie. »
For his next octagon appearance, Adesanya could face the winner of the fight between Robert Whittaker and Dricus Du Plessis, which will take place at UFC 290.
