Although they’re in different weight classes, UFC middleweight champion Adesanya and heavyweight champ Jones appeared to be on a collision course.
The pair engaged in some trash talk when Jones held the light heavyweight title, but a fight never came close to materializing.
For years, Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones have not gotten along. On several occasions, there has been talk of a potential fight between the two men. Nonetheless, that conversation ended when Jones announced his move up to heavyweight.
The clash between ‘Izzy’ and ‘Bones’ will therefore probably never take place. A few weeks ago, Jon Jones even called Israel Adesanya the most entertaining fighter in the UFC right now. Words that did not fail to react to the main interested party.
