Iraq’s Mustafa Al Tekreeti Beats Previously Undefeated Eduard Saik
Iraq’s Mustafa Al Tekreeti became the first man to beat Russia’s previously undefeated star Eduard Saik at ONE Championship event ONE Friday Fights 95.
Al Tekreeti dominated Saik from the start of the lightweight Muay Thai contest, dropping his opponent with a precise body shot in the opening round.
Despite that Saik made adjustments in the second round, Al Tekreeti remained in control, landing a sharp body shot. Although the Iraqi star could not find the finish, he continued to dominate the third round, delivering punches to the head and body.
After three rounds of fighting, Al Tekreeti picked up the victory via unanimous decision, improving his overall record to 24-9.
The 27-year-old Iraqi, who owns a 2-2 record at ONE Friday Fights, is an established Muay Thai star and had picked up -81Kg gold at International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) in 2023.
