Iran’s Mohammad Siasarani Clinches Biggest Win Yet at ONE Friday Fights 105
Iran’s Mohammad Siasarani picked up his biggest win yet at ONE Championship’s weekly fight series ONE Friday Fights.
Siasarani defeated contracted ONE athlete Liu Mengyang in a featherweight kickboxing bout via split decision.
The 22-year-old fighter showcased his superior striking abilities as he fought on the front foot for most of the matchup.
Siasarani pushed forward from the opening bell, but his Chinese opponent counter-attacked efficiently. In the second and third rounds, Siasarani dominated Liu with a string of striking combinations that convinced two of the three judges to hand him the victory.
With his fifth win in ONE Championship, Siasarani snaps Liu’s 21-fight winning streak. This is the WBC Muay Thai World Champion’s biggest win yet as it comes at the expense of the Chinese star who had opened his ONE account with a win against the current ONE Featherweight Kickboxing world champion Masaaki Noiri.
