Iran’s Alipourandi Captures Shock KO Win Over Liam Nolan
Iran’s Abofazl Alipourandi produced the biggest shock in ONE Championship show ONE Fight Night 31 by beating Britain’s Liam Nolan.
Alipourandi had replaced Nolan’s original opponent Nauzet Trujillo five days before the event which took place inside Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
However, the 29-year-old Iranian left the fans shocked when he knocked out Nolan in 59 seconds.
Nolan, who returned from a short-lived retirement, was forced against the ropes, and Alipourandi made him pay for dropping his left hand as he blasted him with a right kick to the head for the knockout.
With this win, the Iranian raises his overall professional record to 16-5.
