Henry Cejudo gave Jiri Prochazka some valuable advice for his fight against Alex Pereira scheduled for UFC 295.
On November 11, during UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden in New York, Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira will face off for the vacant UFC light heavyweight belt. A fight between two strikers that risks sparks…
On the one hand, Prochazka displayed a wild style in his three appearances in the octagon: KO against Volkan Oezdemir, KO against Dominick Reyes and submission over Glover Teixeira. On the other hand, Alex Pereira terrifies his competitors with his power and his formidable left hook. The Brazilian won 3 of his 5 UFC victories before the time limit, including inflicting a violent TKO on Israel Adesanya.
Despite having only three UFC fights to his name, this will be Procházka’s second time fighting for a UFC title. In November of last year, Procházka suffered a serious shoulder injury that sidelined him for 12 months. Now, with the UFC light heavyweight title vacant and up for grabs, Procházka is first in line to reclaim a belt he never lost in the Octagon.
On November 11, Procházka headlines one of the UFC’s biggest events of the year in the Mecca of combat sports, Madison Square Garden. Ahead of his much-anticipated return to the Octagon, we look back at his short, yet captivating, UFC career thus far.
Henry Cejudo advises Jiri Prochazka
On his Youtube channel, former two-time UFC champion Henry Cejudo gave his opinion on the fight between Prochazka and Pereira. For him, ‘Denisa’ absolutely must improve her defense.
“Technique, as good as you are at everything, there’s one area that I think you really need to improve on… two areas. Your defense with your hands: I don’t like to see you get hit because it can cost you dearly against a guy like Alex Pereira. The other thing is your takedown defense. Your ground defense is still a little suspect. If there’s one area I think he really needs to improve on, it’s technique, especially his defense. And the other thing is his defense on takedowns. »
According to ‘Triple C’ therefore, Jiri Prochazka must pay attention to his defense. The Czech would do well to take this advice seriously, because a clean hit from Alex Pereira will not be forgiving. The two athletes will face each other in the main event of the evening, given that Jon Jones withdrew due to a pectoral injury (see video).
