Francis Ngannou’s trainer, Eric Nicksick, has revealed what the perfect next step would be for his colt.
The year 2023 proved decisive for Francis Ngannou. In January, the Cameroonian left the UFC, leaving his heavyweight belt vacant. Subsequently, he signed a big contract with the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
Finally on October 28, Francis Ngannou faced WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. To everyone’s surprise, the ‘Predator’ offered a more than competitive match to the Briton, and proved that he should never be doubted.
Although he lost by split decision after 10 rounds, Ngannou is the real winner for many observers.
At the moment, Francis Ngannou has the cards in his hands. Whether in boxing or MMA, the Cameroonian takes his time to choose the best option.
Anthony Joshua’s manager Eddie Hearn has revealed who the ‘Predator’s’ next opponent in the ring could be.
And in MMA? During an interview with James Lynch for InsideFighting, Xtreme Couture head trainer and Ngannou coach, Eric Nicksick, spoke about what’s next for his foal.
Francis Ngannou vs. Deontay Wilder?
“He came to training on Tuesday, we talked a bit and then he went home for the holidays. We have a few ideas for him, it’s just the best option available to him. We talked about PFL. We talked about Renan Ferreira. We looked at what could happen if it was Deontay Wilder, if there is this mixed rules fight, so there are two possible options. I told him if we could have Wilder in MMA and then fight him in boxing, that would be the best possible scenario, it would be a lot of fun. »

Francis Ngannou’s trainer is therefore thinking of the current PFL heavyweight champion, Renan Ferreira, but especially of the former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder.
