LAS VEGAS – Francis Ngannou returned to the fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic and also talked about facing Jones one day.
Francis Ngannou trained yesterday with Mike Tyson in a session open to the public. He took the opportunity to answer questions and addressed two topics: his potential fight against Jon Jones, but also the clash between Jones and Stipe Miocic which will take place at UFC 295 in November.
I don’t want to keep being negative about Francis Ngannou, but when there’s millions of people out there thinking he could beat or compete with a top ten world ranked boxer, It’s important to explain the truth. Which is, at this point of his career, he’s way below British level pic.twitter.com/HezzbV2hIV

“I put 50-50 on that fight,” Ngannou said during Tuesday’s open workout media scrum in Las Vegas. “I fought Stipe twice, and I know Stipe is pretty good. I know he doesn’t look like it, but I know how tough he is, I know how good he is. I know very well.”
Jones, the current UFC heavyweight champion, succeeded Francis Ngannou who vacated that title when he left the UFC last January. While everyone was hoping to see a fight between the two men, hopes were dashed that day.
But this confrontation is still on everyone’s minds and even in that of Ngannou:
“I don’t feel like I need a Jones fight, more like I want one. I want it, but it’s not a need. »
As for who would emerge victorious, the ‘Predator’ is very explicit:
“Put us in the Octagon and you’ll know.”
Then, Francis Ngannou gave his opinion and prediction for the UFC 295 fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic:
“I bet 50/50 on this fight. For what ? because I fought Stipe twice and I know Stipe well. I faced him twice and I know he doesn’t look like that, but you would see how tough he is, I know how good he is. I know him very well. »
And before that fight, Ngannou will have a huge challenge ahead of him: defeating Tyson Fury in his first pro boxing fight. And it won’t be an easy task, even if Francis Ngannou could knock out Tyson Fury according to the latter’s promoter.
