Francis Ngannou enters the WBC top 10!

Thanks to his XXL performance against Tyson Fury, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou entered the top 10 of the WBC.

Saturday evening, Francis Ngannou shocked the planet. The Cameroonian was the big outsider against WBC champion Tyson Fury. However, he gave the Briton a hard time for 10 rounds. Even more, he scored a knockdown, and won according to many people. In the end, it was Fury who won by split decision.

“I’m just a fighter and I’m ready to fight any time soon,” said Ngannou afterwards. We can run it back again and I’m sure I’m going to get better. This was my first boxing match. Great experience. I’m not giving any excuse. I know I came up short but I’m going to go back and work harder.

After the fight, Francis Ngannou’s trainer Dewey Cooper spoke with MMA Junkie. The latter declared that the president of the WBC, Mauricio Sulaiman, will introduce Francis Ngannou into the official rankings of his organization.

“Mauricio Sulaiman, the president of the WBC, said he was going to put him in the top 10 because he is better than most of the heavyweights in the top 10. He said it in the ring,” said Cooper.

Ngannou was widely praised for his performance against the ‘Gypsy King’. Former two-time UFC champion and current commentator for the organization, Daniel Cormier, praised the ‘Predator’ on his YouTube channel.

“Francis Ngannou has proven himself to be the baddest man on the planet. For what ? because he was the UFC heavyweight champion and fought the world heavyweight boxing champion to a split decision. Tyson Fury could not fight Francis Ngannou in mixed martial arts the same way Francis fought Tyson in boxing. There is no way a fight between a boxer and the UFC heavyweight champion in MMA would result in this type of decision. This is the most impressive performance I have ever seen from a man who is not an expert on the subject. »

With this entry into the rankings, Francis Ngannou risks fighting again in the boxing ring.
