British fighter Fabian Edwards, younger brother of former UFC champion Leon Edwards, delivered a spectacular TKO victory over Impa Kasanganay in the PFL middleweight quarterfinals (84 kg), held in Orlando, Florida.
Despite an early injury, Edwards showed grit and resilience, opening a deep cut on Kasanganay’s forehead with a brutal elbow.
He then dominated the stand-up exchange before dropping his opponent with a finish in round two — all under the watchful eyes of his brother Leon, who was in his corner.
Now 14-4, “The Assassin” Edwards advances to the semifinals, where he’ll face Josh Silveira on June 27. The win marks a strong comeback after his previous loss to Johnny Eblen.
The Edwards family celebrates this victory during a tough time, as Leon recently suffered a submission loss to Sean Brady and lost his welterweight title at UFC 304 to Belal Muhammad.
Meanwhile, Kasanganay suffers a second straight loss, following his recent defeat to Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov in the 2024 Russian PFL final.
