FloGrappling- ONE Fighting Championship champion and MMA legend Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson has entered the upcoming IBJJF Masters World Championships at brown belt masters 2 featherweight (154lbs). The former UFC flyweight king is entered into the 34 man bracket under AMC Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & coach Matt Hume.
Mighty Mouse is the current 135lb belt holder in ONE, having won back the title against Adriano Moraes and successfully defending it. Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson is the record holder for most consecutive defenses of a UFC world championship with 11. He has eight submission victories in his MMA career, including highlight victories over Ray Borg, Wilson Reis, and Kyoji Horiguchi.
The IBJJF Masters World Championships is set to take place August 31-September 2 in Las Vegas, NV. The tournament features decorated competitors and jiu-jitsu legends, all over the age of 30, vying for gold, separated by age divisions, weight, and belt rank.
