On a recent episode of ESPN MMA’s DC & RC show, former heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier assessed Pereira’s early experience in the UFC’s 205-pound division. While some expect him to use the same game plan on July 29, Cormier believes the Polish star has more than enough standing power to hurt “Poatan.”
“We saw Adesanya hurt Pereira in two fights,” Cormier notes. “He cannot be hit by Jan Błachowicz. Błachowicz hits so hard, bro. I’ve seen Błachowicz almost behead guys; Luke Rockhold, Dominick Reyes. The way he was knocking guys out for a while was very scary.”
