Ilia Topuria, who is set to defend his featherweight title against Max Holloway on October 26, took a jab at Belal Muhammad without hesitation, despite their weight class difference. Topuria wrote on his X account, attacking Belal:“No finals, no KOs, no girlfriend, no kids. Belal hasn’t finished any man or woman.”
Topuria, who holds the reputation of being a “matador” in the octagon, didn’t stop there, hinting at his readiness to face any opponent, no matter their strength or rank.
Conor McGregor, the legendary former featherweight and lightweight champion, didn’t stay silent either. He joined in the mockery campaign against Belal Muhammad, expressing his desire to make a strong comeback to the octagon, with Belal as a potential target.
Conor wrote:“I’ll smash my left hook into Belal’s temple and become a triple champion. I’ll do it quickly and easily. This bum became a UFC champion without a single knockout to his name, that’s truly sad.”
With these statements, Belal Muhammad finds himself facing not just fighters from two different weight classes but also two of the UFC’s biggest “trash talkers,” making this war of words a prelude to any actual confrontation.
