Ellis Badr Barboza will face his second opponent in ONE Championship at ONE Fight Night 23 this Saturday, July 6.
The Dubai-based British Muslim fighter is set to go head to head with Thailand’s Aliff Sor Dechapan in a strawweight Muay Thai contest.
Barboza had opened his ONE career with an impressive win against Thai opponent Thongpoon PK Saenchai in December but the result of that fight has since been declared a no contest (NC) after the winner failed a drug test, receiving a six-month ban.
Now, the 24-year-old former WBC European Muay Thai champion faces surging Thai star Aliff Sor Dechapan whose impressive four-win-streak ended with a unanimous defeat against Zhang Peimian in his last outing. Aliff, 20, scored three knockouts in four wins in ONE Championship.
ONE Fight Night 24 kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca on Saturday, July 6 and will be broadcast live via beIN SPORTS.
