Watch as Brian Ortega settles the score with Yair Rodriguez, locking in an arm-triangle choke to earn the third-round submission in their rematch at UFC Fight Night in Mexico City.
In the co-main event of UFC Mexico, Yair Rodriguez and Brian Ortega faced off in an explosive featherweight fight. ‘T-City’ won by submission.
After more than a year and a half without fighting, Brian Ortega returned to the cage for a rematch against his compatriot Yair Rodriguez. ‘T-City’, whose last victory dates back to 2020, was therefore keen to get back on the path to success.
Round 1: Very quickly, Ortega gets hit by a bomb from Rodriguez. The Californian gets up but is already bleeding… He tries to dive into the legs of Yair Rodriguez, without success. Once again, Ortega takes a knockdown and suffers a violent ground & pound on his back. ‘T-City’ seeks to recompose in jiu-jitsu and comes out of it by taking his opponent’s back! He takes the mounted position on Rodriguez before the end of the round rings.
